DIGITAL NEWSLETTER – OCTOBER

~Body Shots Sparring Course~

Saturday 11th October – 1:15pm

(Free)

To help those taking part in the special sparring competition at the end of the month, we are putting on a special 45 minute session dedicated to body shots. This session is open to all members of the school, and is an excellent place to start if you’re not confident with your sparring. If you have any questions regarding the upcoming competition, or if you would like to get involved with future competitions, please don’t hesitate to speak to Mrs Platt.

~Junior Grading and Performance Test~

Wednesday 15th October – 5:30pm Start

Thursday 16th October – 6:00pm Start

Saturday 18th October – 10:30am Start

Please note: All students must register for testing. The dates above are grading dates only. Once you have tested, the other grading dates are unavailable to train on. If you would like to train before the grading, Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th are available for regular training sessions. There will be no Phase 2 and 3 Junior training sessions on the grading days, so please come at the appointed start time, and any session missed due to holiday or sickness should be caught up in good time. As always, Body Equipment is required, and full suits must be worn—NO T-SHIRTS!

.

~Kup and Interim Grading~

Saturday 18th October – 1:15pm

To help those catch up on missed sessions, we have moved the Kup and Interim grading from the 11th October to the 18th. We apologise for any inconvenience, and we ask that you speak to an instructor if you are unable to attend this new date. Be sure to register at reception as soon as possible, and as always, Body Equipment is required to grade, and everyone must be wearing a full suit—NO T-SHIRTS!

.

~Sparring Course~

Saturday 25th October – 1:15pm

(£10)

Despite the Body Shots Sparring Course at the beginning of the month, Mr Platt is still, as always, running his sparring course sessions. Sparring is an important part of training, and is necessary for gradings, but when put everything else we work in class, we don’t often spend enough time on the subject. That’s what makes these sparring courses so useful and important, and they’re an excellent way to practice more unconventional or unique sparring tactics. If you’re not already involved, you’re missing out on so much. Register at reception today!

.

~Halloween Party~

Friday 31st October – 5:30pm – 6:30pm

(£6)

October is upon us, so you know what that means? It’s time to put on your witch’s cap, wrap yourselves in bandages, put in your fake fangs, and slip on your werewolf gloves, because it’s Halloween! To celebrate, we’re hosting a special party, right on Halloween night, at a hopefully trick-or-treat convenient time. Fun and games for all Ninja and Junior members. Register at reception now!

.

~Little Ninja Grading~

Saturday 1st November

The Little Ninja grading is scheduled in for November 1st, and as always we encourage all those taking part to register as soon as possible. Furthermore, if you are behind on your training, if you’re missing stripes, or if the grading date and time are inconvenient, speak to an instructor and we’ll see what we can do.
